The Kosbor Boutique Hotel is situated in the southwestern corner of Őrség at the border of three countries: Hungary, Slovenia and Austria. According to the people of Magyarszombatfa, this quiet 3-hectare estate bordered by forests has always been the most beautiful plot in the village. There are comfortable rooms and apartments, a cosy restaurant and a wine bar, pleasant terraces, and some quiet garden retreats for our guests to relax.

This friendly little boutique hotel has spacious double rooms, suites with separate bedrooms and an elegant separate apartment with a private terrace. Each room is furnished with unique, beautifully restored antique furniture.

The huge estate offers plenty of opportunities for you to relax; there are deck-chairs, benches, hammocks and fire places all over the place to make sure you can enjoy an undisturbed holiday. In our orchard 80-100 year-old apple, plum and pear trees bear the ingredients of our pálinka, jams, strudels and lots of other delicacies. The Kosbor is a dog friendly place: you can let your pet run happily around on the huge estate.

In spring, thousands of green winged orchids bloom on our meadows, so it has been quite obvious to name the hotel after this wide orchid. A hectare of forest belongs to the estate, which smoothly blends with Őrség National Park, so the Kosbor is the perfect starting point for hiking, cycling or even horseback rides.

Beyond the wonders of nature, the neighbourhood has plenty of other things in store for you to be discovered: Magyarszombatfa is famous for its pottery, you can find real rarities at the local pottery museum and potters are glad to let you test their wheel. You can as well taste a plenty of delicacies in the vicinity: freshly baked poppy seeds and pumpkin strudels, pálinka made from local fruit, the famous pumpkin seed oil, several types of fine cheeses and jams available on the market are all treats tempting you to taste but you can also enjoy local specialties at the Kosbor or at some of the outstanding restaurants in the area.
