The Babérliget Mansion is situated in the hills of Somogy County, a 25 minutes’ drive away from both Balatonlelle and Kaposvár. This fabulous estate reminds you of Provance: you will be impressed by the lavender bushes, flowers and herbs, vines and fruit trees at first sight. This 900 m2 nineteenth century mansion was in the ownership of the noble Békeffy house; today we are awaiting those looking for some relaxed or even experience-filled time away in this rural charm with the romance of the past.
The ten rooms of the Babérliget Mansion – named after the inhabitants of our herb garden – are hiding treasures. There are 5 rooms on the ground floor of the two-storey house. A lobby is shared by two of the adjoining rooms making it an ideal place for families, while the other three are double rooms. In the back wing of the building, still on the ground floor, there is a spa area with a panorama sauna and a steam room. The outdoor pool can be easily reached from the spa area. There are 5 additional rooms upstairs: one triple and three double rooms and a honeymoon room as well.
Objects and furniture in public spaces make the mansion really special. The huge sofa, the antique piano and the paintings in the living room, the cozy library and the fireplace in there adorn the place with an extraordinary atmosphere.

It is exactly the same when it comes to gastronomy, so in the Babérliget we take good care of our guests in the spirit of ‘farm-to-table’. Our chef had been studying the secrets of Italian cuisine in Milan for three years then he transplanted all that he had learned into the gastronomic offer of the Kúria. Owing to our love for the people and the taste of Somogy, and for reasons of environmental and health consciousness, we source most of the ingredients – both food and drinks – directly from local small farmers. Thanks to it, an irresistible fusion of the cuisine of Somogy and Milan has been created. We simply refer to this fusion, which is rich in flavours and scents, as ‘Polanian’ cuisine. Kisasszondi cheeses, handmade jam, honey, homemade ham and sausages are served for breakfast, while we prepare game meat from Bőszénfa, local fowl and fish for the thematic half board dinner.
Adventures can go further after the experience of tasting our food. Water enthusiasts do not need to walk far away if they wish to freshen up: the large outdoor pool with wild grapes at the back, lavenders, roses and other Mediterranean plants around is an engaging scenery; fruit trees and woods further behind offer a beautiful view.
You can relax in one of the sunbeds, comfortable armchairs or chairs beside the pool.

You can select from the numerous programs on offer both on the estate and in the surrounding towns and villages. The programs are recommended not only for couples and families; but there is a range of recreational facilities for team building whether it is corporate or for friends. Nature plays an important role in classic team building programs, while in extreme training sessions adventurous Segway or off-road tours, a Balaton Regatta or stargazing tours provide unforgettable experiences for the team.
